Lorna McNaughton was interviewed by Anglican Video in 1992 at the Six Nations Reserve in Ontario.

For: Henriette Thompson
God, with heavy hearts, we hear the story of Lorna’s family who suffered physical, sexual and emotional abuse as a result of attending the Mohawk Institute.
Strengthen their descendants who continue to experience the legacy of that trauma. Forgive us for the violence done in your name. Help us to remember that we are all broken people in need of your healing – survivors, perpetrators, bystanders and witnesses. Help us to reflect back to one another what it means to be loved by you and made in your image. Continue to remake us into a new creation, a reconciled community.
In Christ’s name, Amen
Henriette Thompson is the director of Public Witness for Social and Ecological Justice at the Anglican Church of Canada.
