Pastoral Care is the ministry of caring, listening and spiritual journeying provided by the rector, and lay leaders, to members of our church congregation or persons within our community. Home visitation, home Communion, laying on of hands and healing prayer are all components of this very rewarding ministry.
Our Pastoral Care Team and clergy are available to walk with you in times of difficulty, grief and crisis. Our pastoral care team and clergy can be contacted through the church office at 250-746-6262. In cases of emergency you may call Reverend MJ Lewis-Kirk at 250-619-7528. When the office is closed there will be a message on the answering machine to let you know the number of the on-call priest or deacon.
Prayer Chain is a group of faithful people, who commit to pray on a regular basis for those in the parish, their family and friends. We meet on the third Thursday in the month and share Communion, and then have a meeting over tea or coffee.
A caring ministry by phone. Prayer, conversation, consolation and compassion are offered to those needing a friend over the phone. This ministry is offered by those who wish to provide care but are unable to visit personally.
Lay Eucharistic Ministry
A committed group of licensed men and women that assist at the altar each Sunday. Some of our Lay Eucharistic Ministers also offer Home Communions to those unable to attend Sunday services.
