ALISON WEIR on ISRAEL-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT, & WESTERN SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL
Tuesday, July 29th 7:00 p.m. Duncan United Church
Alison Weir left her home in California in 2000 to travel alone to Palestine and Israel as an independent journalist, to see the Middle East conflict first-hand. What she uncovered led her to feel this was one of the most significant and least understood issues for people today. Executive Director of “If Americans Knew” and President of the “Council for National Interest”, Weir tirelessly studies the conflict, its history, and the US connection, and travels the world speaking of her experiences and research.
“Against Our Better Judgment” brings together meticulously sourced evidence to illuminate a reality that differs starkly from the prevailing narrative. It provides a clear view of the history that is key to understanding one of the most critically important political issues of our day.
Alison is coming to Vancouver Island in response to a growing call from folk who want to know more about what is going on in Palestine, and what they can do to help.
